Day 1 - Saturday, November 9
Havana Arrival and Orientation
Bask in your arrival to Cuba with us starting with a movement gathering and orientation on rooftop overlooking Havana. After getting to know your new family for the week, we’ll sit together to dinner at a local, traditional farm-to-table restaurant featuring live music. Following dinner, take the night to rest and relax, or join us for some evening salsa dancing on the water, under the moonlight at a beautiful outdoor venue known for dancing.
Day 2 - Sunday, November 10
Move and explore Cuba’s Afro-Cuban Culture
Rise and shine on your first morning with some provided breakfast, which will be followed by a morning yoga class taught at the studio of Eduardo Pimentel, President of the Cuban Yoga Association. We’ll enjoy lunch together before we head to the local Afro-Cuban Community art alley where we’ll experience a live drum and dance performance. We’ll even take an Afro-Cuban dance class to learn how the locals move. We’ll provide you with dinner recommendations for the evening (*this meal is on your own), and you’ll have the option to join us in visiting an artist collective, warehouse gallery, and performance space before retreating for the night.
Day 3 - Monday, November 11
Discover Old Havana
Enjoy a day full of exploration in Old Havana. We’ll start with a group breakfast in Old Havana followed by some movement - pilated under a covered outdoor performance theater space in Old Havana. We’ll keep the moves with a traditional Cuban Salsa and Rumba dance class before we head to lunch. The afternoon will be filled with a walking tour of Old Havana World heritage sites, learning about the deep culture and history of Old Havana. Dinner will be on your own with recommendations, after which you can call it a night or enjoy a night out enjoying live Jazz music in town.
Day 4 - Tuesday, November 12
Traditional Sounds of Cuba
Like any great day, we’ll start our morning with some movement followed by a traditional breakfast. We’ll then head out to visit the San Lazaro church of El Rincon, a world-renown pilgrimage sanctuary celebrating Saint Lazarus. For lunch, we’ll head off the beaten tourist path to find some local fare before hearing some tamboreros play traditional Cuban drums. Dinner will be on your own, followed by an evening with big band salsa in Miramar. Or turn in for the evening and get ready for our big adventure to Viñales the next day.
Day 5 - Wednesday, November 13
Trek to the Viñales Valley
Wake up and get ready - we start our day with breakfast and then travel our way to Viñales. We’ll make quick stop where you’ll grab your own lunch on the way, but make it into Viñales in time to settle in and start our afternoon with some yoga or other movement. We’ll enjoy dinner together in our new location before having the option to go into town and enjoy some live music and dancing.
Day 6 - Thursday, November 14
Wake up the sun on the mountains in the Viñales Valley
Our first morning in Viñales starts with a sunrise hike with local guide. On the mountain, we’ll enjoy a traditional cup of coffee while enjoying some gorgeous views of the Viñales Valley - the perfect spot for that one instagram post for your trip! We’ll enjoy breakfast together before heading to the tobacco fields and a coffee tour to see the local economy at work. Lunch with be on your own with recommendations, but we’ll tie out the evening with one final dinner reception together.
Day 7 - Friday, November 15
Our final goodbyes
On our final day, let’s enjoy one last breakfast together, saying our goodbyes before we take transportation back to Havana and head home.
